How Much Money Has Matt Barnes paid in Fines?

Matt Barnes’ latest $50,000 fine for using inappropriate language against James Harden’s mom has tied him with Rasheed Wallace for the NBA’s most fined players. Both Matt Barnes and Rasheed Wallace are tied with $205,000 in fines. Wallace is retired, ended his career with eight fines, and with one more fine Barnes can hold the title for the most fined player in NBA history. Barnes currently has been fined seven times.

Barnes is a 13-year-old NBA veteran who currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers as a forward; he’s played for eight different teams during his career.

You might see number 22 on the court yelling at other players or a coach, criticizing a referee, threatening a NBA owner, or cursing at a star player’s mother. You might think this man he is an ‘asshole’, a ‘bully’, or even a ‘douchebag.’ If you foul his teammate, he will get in your face and call you a *itch. He says his teammates are his family. “These are my teammates, and I need them to play well for us to win, you’re not going to intimidate them and you’re not going to take cheap shots, stuff that’s not basketball.”

Teammate and Clippers point guard Chris Paul calls him “an unbelievable teammate.” Teammate J.J. Redick refers to Barnes as his favorite teammate. Every team needs a player like Matt Barnes who always has his teammates back, and is willing to defend his teammates against whomever. He is tough and doesn’t care what anyone thinks about him. I think he is the one that toughened up Blake Griffin who has been known by former teammate Chauncey Billups as being to “soft”.

I love Barnes’ style of play. I’m still trying to figure out why other teams still mess with the Clippers. Barnes doesn’t care about his NBA stock; it can be a rookie or DeAndre Jordan, you mess with one of his teammates expects Barnes to retaliate. Imagine what he will do to you if you mess with one of his twin boys Isaiah and Carter.
